Is ‘Friends’ the cause of milennials’ narcissism?

So a couple writers on Vice.com are proposing that the sitcom Friends “created a generation of neurotic, self obsessed idiots.” I’m not sure Friends could be singled out as the catalyst for millennial self obsession, but I’m inclined to agree that it managed to throw its hat in the ring.

What do you guys think?

  1. I buy it. The same grating feeling which causes me to look for the exit when talking to the self obsessed millennial is the same feeling I have watching Friends, so I think they’re at least in the same neighborhood.
