Rick and Morty is one of the most hilarious things I’ve seen in a while. And it isn't just a show for sci-fi fans; fans of science will love it, too.

'Ja'mie: Private School Girl' has hope if, beyond the premiere episode, Chris Lilley can weave in characters who offset the character of Ja’mie, challenge her and hopefully humble her. But should Ja'mie be allowed to run rampant, the show may not be as likely to succeed.

Although the story will need to add some more complexity if it is to carry future issues, the humor in 'It Came!' is first-rate and the artwork, done in a sort of cleaned-up 'Dick Tracy'-esque style, is very good.

'The Family's dark edge and strong cast make it enjoyable, and its play on the image of Americans abroad is interesting.

'Grabbers' is a fun and likable comedy-horror/sci-fi hybrid that fans of this genre in general, and Shaun of the Dead in particular, will definitely appreciate.

'The World's End' has more giddy energy than a dozen joyless summer spectacles and proves that sometimes the end can be the best place to be.

If Tim Burton, Edgar Allan Poe, The Cure's Robert Smith, and the creative team behind South Park getting together to hash out ideas for a collaborative Seussian "children's" book sounds like a match made in Heck to you, then 'Lenore' is the comic you've been praying for.

'The Way, Way Back' is a nostalgia film that doesn’t trade-in emotional depth for shallow warm-fuzzies. The result isn't new, but it is refreshing.

Sure, the effects aren’t that great, and the ethics of the movie are questionable at best, but the Apatow crew has never been accused of particularly high quality, socially uplifting humor. That doesn’t make 'This is the End' any less funny in a thoroughly disgusting way.
