Average Joe is a supremely popular web series that is two seasons in and heading into its third season next summer. Like many fans of the series, I’m excited to see how the story unfolds for Joe, the hapless yet likeable hero of the story, and I chatted with him recently about the show and the upcoming season.

My February Hero of the Month is someone who did have a life, mostly due to his own courage and efforts. But it was far too short, and there were still many accomplishments which, had he lived long enough, he would have surely accomplished with that stellar, infectiously positive mindset of his. February’s Hero is Sam Berns who died last month on Jan. 10.
